NUMBERS (part1)

Doumo minna-san!!
this time we will learn about numbers! you can memorize directly from the lesson above.
Numbers in Japanese is quite easy!^^

Let's begin with numerals first! there are 2 parts of lesson on numerals!
i divided into 2 parts to make it easy to learn! any comment just let me know!!
(inbox my facebook account okay!)

other examples on Japanese numerals for reference:

21   -    ni jyuu ichi                                             68    -     roku jyuu hachi
22   -    ni jyuu ni                                                74    -    nana jyuu yon
25   -    ni jyuu go                                                            shichi jyuu shi
34    -   san jyuu yon                                                        nana jyuu shi
san jyuu shi                                                          shichi jyuu shi
47    -   yon jyuu nana                                        89    -     hachi jyuu kyuu
yon jyuu shichi                                                      hachi jyuu ku
53    -   go jyuu san                                            93    -     kyuu jyuu san

Alright! As you can see on the lesson, [4,7,9] have two ways to write..in numerals, both can be used!
HOWEVER! there are certain rules you must take note!
Unfortunately, I dont know how to explain by note but you can see the example below!!
be careful not to write like these!!

A    47 - if you write 'shi jyuu nana' or 'shi jyuu shichi' then it's WRONG!!
B    93  - if you write 'ku jyuu san' then it's WRONG too!!

Other than that, nothing else..easy to say,
YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM TO MASTER JAPANESE NUMERALS!!
Trust me!!
If you doubt, then let's do some exercise!!

              1.    37  -                       2.     79  -                   3.    45  -                 4.   28   -                 5.    44  -

              6.    57  -                       7.     94  -                   8.    62  -                 9.   87   -                10.    99  -

I'll give the answer later!!

GOOD LUCK!!
* two thumbs up*

Please wait for part two!
Take care ^0^v

jiko-shoukai (self-introduction)

Doumo!!^^
This time we will learn about jiko shoukai means self-introduction which is reeeeeeally important! (^0^)/

Example:

Doumo. Hajime mashite. Watashi no namae wa Jijie desu. Pontian kara kimashita. Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu

Hello. How do you do. My name is Jijie. I came from Pontian. Pleased to meet you.

the example above is the common one. Anyway, there are many way to introduce yourself in Japanese. Like these example:

-  Doumo. Hajime mashite. Watashi wa Jijie desu. Pontian kara kimashita. Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
Hello. How do you do. I am Jijie. I came from Pontian. Pleased to meet you.

-  Doumo. Hajime mashite. Namae wa Jijie desu. Pontian kara kimashita. Douzo yoroshiku.
Hello. How do you do. Name is Jijie. I came from Pontian. Pleased to meet you.

-  Doumo. Hajime mashite. Watashi wa Jijie desu. Pontian kara kimashita. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
Hello. How do you do. I am Jijie. I came from Pontian. Pleased to meet you.

-  Doumo. Hajime mashite. Watashi wa Jijie desu. Pontian kara kimashita. Yoroshiku.
Hello. How do you do. I am Jijie. I came from Pontian. Pleased to meet you.

   ETC.

As you can see..[DOUZO YOROSHIKU ONEGAISHIMASU] can also be short formed as [DOUZO YOROSHIKU], [YOROSHIKU ONEGAISHIMASU] & [YOROSHIKU] which the meaning is still the same.

The answer for [DOUZO YOROSHIKU ONEGAISHIMASU] is [KOCHIRA KOSO YOROSHIKU]

And, OF COURSE you can use other greeting like [OHAYOU GOZAIMASU], [KONNICHIWA], [KONBANWA] other than [DOUMO] depending the time you introduce yourself.

Okay! that's all for now..take care!
*wink*

Romaji writing style in Japanese(^,^)/

There are several style on Romaji writing that might confused you
(and me before)Until today, haven't found yet reference books (or any source) that explain about that..So, what i'm going to explain to you is based on my experience & own thinking neeee!!^^

Okay! let's start with the most common style!
i named these style as 'OU' style & 'OO' style!
(please noted that this is based on my experience & thinking)

1. OU/OO style

For example, [DOUMO]

There are books out there that write as DOUMO..that's OU style..
but there are also books that write as DOOMO..that's OO style..

Other examples:

OU

SAYOUNARA
OHAYOU
DOU ITASHIMASITE

OO

SAYOONARA
OHAYOO
DOO ITASHIMASHITE

OH style
However, I found a book which used different style to write words as above..it used OH style*

DOHMO
SAYOHNARA
OHAYOH
DOH ITASHIMASHITE

For me, whichever style is correct! as long as the pronunciation is a bit longer okay!^^

But, I prefer use OU style as my writing style to write Japanese in Romaji cos it more practical^^

          も
DO      U         MO

Okay!next time I’ll explain other writing style ne

Alright! Take care^^

Essentials- greeting (aisatsu) part 3 ^0^

Doumo!!AHAHAHAHAHA!
I should write [DOUMO] at the first lesson but i forgot about it, so skipped it & write in here ;p

GOMEN!!!
please dont mind about that ne...i'm a grandma anyway Xp

There's nothing to explain about this lesson..
Just memorize it okay!^^

Essentials- greeting (aisatsu) part 2 ^0^

If you can notice, there are 2 [SUMIMASEN] in Japanese..
[SUMIMASEN] in the previous lesson is used when you are feeling guilty after done something wrong and want apologize to the second person. It's also can be said as [DOUMO SUMIMASEN] which more polite.
Another words to apologize other than [SUMIMASEN] and [DOUMO SUMIMASEN] are [MOSHI WAKE ARIMASEN] which sounds honorific and [GOMENASAI] which is more commonly used to friends, family members and children..I guess everyone knows [GOMENASAI] can also be short formed as [GOMEN] right? AHAHAHAHA!^^

 okay!Next!
Unlike [SUMIMASEN] in the previous lesson, [SUMIMASEN] in the above is used when you feel that you are disturbing  someone. This expression is also used when someone is leaving. I think these two [SUMIMASEN] obviously has  difference  meaning which is easy to understand.
simple ne^^

If you are lost or confused, please tell me!!
Learning process wont be complete without question neeeeee!! xD

Oh yeah!
[DONATAKA] in the above can be replaced with [DAREKA] means [ANYONE] okay!
[DONATA] is a formal form of [DARE]^^

That's it for this lesson!!!
Take care!
